I use backdrops a lot for different setups and this is one of the nicest ones I’ve had. The graphics and color are perfect. Quality was without question best I’ve used. Also communication from company was superior. I will definitely order others in the future from this seller.
Amazing Company to work with and the background looks amazing!
I am a professional portrait photographer woth over 20 years of experience and have used so many different backdrops. I must say that I am quite impressed with the quality of the Gatsby backdrops. It material is a very nice thickness, hang well, the colours are vibrant and realistic, and the material does not crease easily which made steaming it out incredibly easy and super fast. I love the selection of designs on the Garaby website, and the design I chose worked very well for my session and theme. Super cute! I highly recommend Gatsby Backdrops!
Nice product good quality.
It's the first time that I give a try of this new brand, impressed of this backdrop and honestly, it's pretty awesome. The material feels sturdy, so I'm not worried about it wearing out anytime soon. It also helps keep the glare down, which is helpful. All in all, I'm really happy with it.
Good backdrop for doing standard school portraits. It doesn't reflect light, and has a nice gradient of neutral colors. Good size, easy to use with my backdrop stands. Produces great results.
THIS IS LIGHT WEIGHT. WRINKLES EASY TO REMOVE. GREAT FOR HEAD SHOTS.
I'm a photographer and I don't shoot in the studio that much but I really like this Charcoal Gray backdrop.I really like the hand-painted look and feel, the quality is really good and like most backdrop is a bit wrinkled but nothing a little ironing can fix.
For a light weight backdrop, this is a solid buy. It's competitively priced, is attractive, and gets the job done. I really like the design for a classic neutral grey background. On the other hand, because it's so light, this backdrop is mostly appropriate indoors as it is very sensitive to wind - for this same reason it means that you probably wouldn't be able to use a fan inside if AC is not available. The backdrop is a little on the small side, so this means that it's most appropriate for tighter shots and only one or couple of people, and certainly groups of more than 3 or 4 are out. The sowing for where you insert tripod rods are solid and the overall construction and quality seem quite good. It's a good basic backdrop for one or two person shoots and your goal is to keep the overall weight of your gear bags to a minimum.
I am a photographer - I do studio work mostly and have a favorite brand of backdrops that I use but when this one came across my feed I thought I would give it a try. I was getting a bit tired of lugging out the heavier and much larger backdrops for online meetings at work conducted from my kitchen. The size of this, and color, were what I like most during meetings, so I figured why not.The price point is very similar to the brand I usually purchase. Those are a heavy duty microfiber and they have a great sleeve that fits over my rod easily. Most backdrops I have gotten don't and most I have tried of other brands (except for heavy canvas) always allow you to see through them if there is light behind the backdrop. I also have found that most fabrics just don't look good where micro-fiber lends a similar look to that of canvas. Based on this experience I really didn't have high hopes for this backdrop so I was pleasantly surprised when I set it up the first time. The GATSBY 5x7ft Charcoal Gray Fabric Photography Backdrop is lightweight and thin but not transparent to any degree. I hung it in my kitchen with bright light coming through the windows and could not see through it at all.The back of the backdrop is slick and smooth but the front has a velvet-like texture similar to the micro-fiber I have come to love photographing against. Without any ironing or even tossing this in the dryer, the creases from folding come right out with light stretching. I used my cell phone to snap quick examples right out of the package and my friend Fred the Chicken did some modeling for me.The sleeve slid right over my heavy duty hanging rod although I did have to remove the pin to secure the end of the rod to the stand for it to fit. I never really use those anyway, so it isn't a problem. The edges of the fabric are well stitched to prevent fraying and have a clean, uncrimped line. The overall quality of this backdrop is excellent. It takes up a quarter of the space as that of the same size microfiber and is a lot lighter. I can pack this easily for headshots on location. I would absolutely recommend this brand of backdrops. Pricewise and selection lead me back to my old stand-by micro-fiber brand, but this is certainly in the running for future purchases.
A variety of polyester backdrops are available; most look polyester or look printed. This dark fabric photographic backdrop has uniform coloration and is perfect for dignified portraits. It has a miniscule amount of reflective shine but the dark fabric does not appear "polyester" or "fused"; with its white polyester fused reverse the backdrop almost is opaque. The edges are well bound and the top hanging rod pocket is well sewn. The backdrop arrives wrinkled, folded inside a closable plastic pouch. Ironing the reverse with an iron set to "synthetic" (the lowest heat setting) quickly removes the wrinkles. Storing the backdrop rolled around a mailing tube minimizes future wrinkling.
Five Stars.Great quality.Nice pattern.Good useful size.Lightweight.
